First-of-its-Kind Large Scale Solar Water Desalination

The solar desalination systems are designed to produce electricity and water 24/7 during day and night using the patented solar hybrid Photovoltaic Thermal (PV-T) technology, or “Hassabou Technology”. The Hybrid (PV-T) Collector provides highest conversion efficiency of a solar system globally, extend the life time of PV modules, and provides highest energy harvesting density per unit of land area with continuous operation 24 hours without batteries or molten salts.

The water desalination plants are based on Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane systems, which can be “
optionally” equipped with Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) to eliminate environmental problems associated with brine disposal in desalination plants.

The solar desalination plants produce drinking water from sea water or brackish underground water, or even for polishing treated sewage effluents (TSE) for the purpose of irrigation or reuse in the industrial applications.

For rural areas, industrial applications, residential complexes and small or remote communities,   BIET offers modular and containerized water and waste water treatment systems as standing-alone reliable decentralized solutions.
